THE STORM THAT GOT AWAY

Post by darrog » Thu Nov 24, 2011 9:05 am

24.11.11.

Out in the Atlantic is a deep depression that has an associated warm front that is bringing us our cloud and rain.

This depression is going to travel virtually NNE to the east side of Iceland and then track further north - in the process it will deepen to 944 Mb

As with so many things it's the fine margins - this November we have missed out on the High pressure over Europe - a few hundred miles West and the month would have been completely different

This Atlantic depression - a few hundred miles East and it would have been a major event talked about for years to come - fine margins.

Good point !

At least I think it will finally push the HP to the East to allow us to get some "weather" over the next week. I think it will gradually become colder now with increasing risk of some snow ( well on the hills anyway)
