may be may be ?

testing this evening

Took console outside and stood next to Repeater ( on top of garden shed) - strong signal 60 - but kept dropping out

Walked up garden towards Weather Station - lost signal, no data ( as I expected really)

Returned back to Repeater and working again

Removed power source - loss of signal - so it doesnt work on battery alone ?

Brought console inside, worked briefly at back door but as I returned it to its usual position its stopped working again

No more testing this evening, neighbours going to wonder what I am doing !

Tomorrow I need to cancel the repeat function and walk towards Weather Station to check on signal from main weather station to Repeater

Anyone got a spare Repeater station I could test ?

Thinking at this stage the repeater is faulty.

I continued my testes last evening, moved console to kitchen and it started to pick the signal up again. So I later moved back to where its normally housed and connected to the PC, stopped working but at some stage overnight has started working again. There is no real explanation for this ?

So both batteries were charged. To me its a fault somewhere in the transmitting side, guessing its the repeater. New one on Ebay at £75 ?

Will now leave it alone, but will order a rechargeable battery for the main unit

Working OK last 48hrs

Gut feeling is a humidity, damp issue ?
