Last year compared with today - slightly more ice cover on Hudson Bay perhaps otherwise similar ?

Snow is retreating now in Europe, note ice has reached northern shores of North Japan- not sure if this is unusual or not ?

Still holding strong across Russia, most of Europe is now snow free - Ice increasing over the Gulf of Bothnia

Last day of March - snow cover has slipped away from Europe as expected at this time of year, just Russia and Baltic areas holding on. Some green areas showing even in Alaska

No snow left now on the land, just the ice and thats going fast, wonder if there will be an ice free route opening up this year, Still Ice on Hudsin bay though ? not sure if thats unusual or not
